Protect Yourself from the Flu This Winter

Are you one of the millions of people who have been putting off getting their flu shot this year? If you are, then you probably aren’t aware that a staggering 28,189 people died from the flu in 2015 which is actually the largest percentage increase in year on year flu mortality since the 1960’s!

There can be serious long-term health complications that can arise originating from the flue, including bronchitis, pneumonia, and meningitis which is why it is so important to get the flu jab if you are eligible. However, many of us are not entitled to a free flu vaccine, so what are the extra precautions that we can take to keep ourselves safe this winter?

One of the main ways you can protect yourself from nasty germs is by making sure to wash your hands properly! Make sure you wash, rinse and repeat, and do this for at least 20 seconds for optimal effect. Another way to protect yourself from the cold is probably one that you won’t want to hear and that is cutting back on alcohol. Stick to just one drink as the alcohol can impair your white blood cells ability to combat viruses for as long as 24 hours, giving germs plenty of time to infiltrate your system.

Of course, none of these methods gets rid of the flu germs that infect you and that is why you need to call out Sanondaf to your homes, nurseries, schools, gyms, catering facilities and more. Our touchless disinfectant service gets rid of 99.99% of all harmful bacteria, germs, viruses, fungi and any other micro-organism and can eliminate flu germs in your surroundings.

There really is no better way to protect to yourself this winter, so give us a call on 01236 702 028 or email info@sanondaf.co.uk for more information on our disinfectant products and services.
